Podlasie Opera and PhilharmonicOne of the biggest cultural complexes in Poland has been built in Bialystok. An LTT-led consortium was responsible for executive designs and implementation of the Opera's entire stage technology.
A seminar dedicated to theater technologies took place in the Polish Theater in Warsaw on June 7th and 8th 2010. It was co-organized by four companies - LTT, Waagner Biro, Promont and M. Ostrowski.
The seminar's opening talk from dr Piotr Obracaj from the Opole Technical University was a history of theatrical architecture through the last 25 ages. Another speaker, architect and urbanist prof. Marek Budzyński from the Warsaw Technical University talked about the philosophical aspects of architecture and urbanistics. Prof. Budzynski also presented his most recent work, the design of Opera Podlaska for the Polish city of Białystok, as an example of modern art center architecture. Other guest speakers included Alexander Ziller, the director of German Consulting Associates and one of Germany's most acclaimed theatrical planners, Torsten Nobling - the chairman of the Swedish OISTAT Center (International Organization of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians) and dr Markus Schoisswohl from Wagner Biro.
Second day of lectures had a speech from Maciej Wojciechowski, a founding member of the Polish OISTAT Center, about the SIL3 safety system used in stage mechanics. One of Poland's top light producers, designers and directors - Artur Szyman, together with LTT's Paweł Jarząbek gave a talk about modern LED lighting systems. Lastly, the M. Ostrowski company introduced the audience to the subject of electroacoustic systems used in cultural complexes.
