The Danuta Baduszkowa Musical Theatre in Gdynia is the second stage by size in Poland. During 50 years of its existence it has premiered over 50 plays, including such famous titles like "Fiddler on the Roof", "Les Miserables", "West Side Story", "Evita", "Hair", "Chicago", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Koleda-Nocka" and "Nieszpory ludzmierskie". Acclaimed actors and singers who performed on the Theater's stage include Ernest Bryll, Wojciech Mlynarski, Jerzy Wasowski, Jeremi Przybora, Adam Hanuszkiewicz, Jerzy Stuhr, Leszek Mozdzer, Grzegorz Turnau, Justyna Steczkowska, and Robert Janowski.
In 2008, LTT delivered and implemented for the Gdynia Musical Theatre a lighting control system based on the Ethernet/DMX standard.
An advanced Compulite Vector Red lighting console is the heart of the system. A second Compulite Vector Green console is working together with the main one, providing backup in case of the first console's failure. The Vector Red (top of the Vector range at the time of installation) has been installed in a very interesting, full-fledged configuration. All external monitor ports have been used — the console has a total of 6 touch screens (three built-in and three external). It is the first time such extensive screens configuration has been used for Vector in Poland.
In the Theatre's smaller stage a Vector Orange console has been installed. Two Compulite I-control remote control sets have also been provided; since they are compatible with all used consoles, they can be used interchangeably on both stages.
The Theatre has also been provided with Martin Show Designer (MSD) real-time visualization software. The program creates a lighting visualization that can be controlled from a console in the same way that actual stage lights would be controlled. This allows the lighting show to be created and rehearsed as a simulation, without the need of setting up actual lights or using the stage.
Three wireless City Theatrical DMX sets and four e-ports separating DMX signals from Ethernet network were also used in this project.
